Plain-language terms for WinTinyBar. The full license text is the EULA. The EULA governs the software license; the Privacy Policy governs personal data. Mandatory consumer and data-protection rights always prevail. Accepting these Terms never turns on optional product measurement or community research.

The WinTinyBar app and its identified core local AI tools are free. Talk Type, Say Selected, local translation and local personalization do not require a subscription, account, activation or license server. After any model downloads you choose, those core tools process your private work on this PC. If you'd like to support development, you can leave a tip; it is always optional and does not unlock preferential treatment.
Some functions naturally need internet access: model and update downloads, exchange rates, optional community content and outbound source links. Optional add-ons, partner tools or connected services may later be free or paid. Their provider, price and online requirements will be shown before you choose them. A paid offer may never be selected for you using your local interest profile.
My interests stores only fixed topic tags that you approve, in a Windows-protected local vault. A future, separately enabled local-learning option may temporarily examine a successful translation on this PC to suggest one broad, non-sensitive tag. You approve a suggestion before it becomes a durable preference. The originating phrase, audio, selected text, translation, dictionary, keyword, embedding and detailed profile are not sent to Uppercut.
Local personalization and community content remain available whether or not you join research or product measurement. You can edit or erase your local interests at any time.
When enabled in a future release, Fresh Picks will download the same bounded, signed multilingual catalog for every installation. Your PC will rank that common catalog against your approved local tags. WinTinyBar will not put your tag in a request URL, query, cookie or content-click event.
Items will identify their source and publication date and link to the original publisher. Headlines and short summaries are informational, may become outdated and are not medical, legal or financial advice. Opening an external link leaves WinTinyBar; that publisher then receives the ordinary connection information involved in any web visit and applies its own terms and privacy policy.
These are two independent, default-off choices. Product measurement, if launched, uses reviewed fixed counters such as a tool starting, completing or failing—never content or interests. Community research, if launched, may contribute at most one locally randomized broad category in a 30-day period while its local state remains intact. It does not send your local tag, phrase, audio, translation, dictionary, device/install ID or account. The report body does include a random, one-use anti-replay receipt; it is not a persistent user identifier. Deleting local state or reinstalling can reset the local 30-day guard, so launch also requires server-side one-use enforcement and prompt receipt disposal. Hosting providers still process ordinary connection metadata such as IP address and time.
Each choice has its own explanation, control and data route. Refusing either changes neither the free tools nor local recommendations. The desktop release sends community research never, and product measurement only after you switch it on yourself.
The app is free, so there is nothing to refund. If you ever buy an optional content pack, the purchase page will show the voluntary refund window and process before you pay. Mandatory withdrawal or refund rights may also apply to qualifying transactions where you live, including Brazil's Consumer Defense Code and, when applicable, EU/UK consumer rules; those rights are not reduced by these Terms.
WinTinyBar is provided as-is, without warranty, to the extent your local law allows — mandatory consumer guarantees where you live are not affected. It is a utility that draws on your screen, plays media and types text at your command — you are responsible for how you use it. We work hard to keep it safe and tiny; if something breaks, tell us and we'll investigate it.
Don't sell WinTinyBar or pass it off as your own, and don't redistribute paid paid add-ons. Sharing the app itself with friends is not just allowed — it's encouraged.
WinTinyBar is a general-purpose productivity and accessibility tool, not a service designed to profile children or target them with advertising. Because a general Windows utility may still be used by children and adolescents, connected profiling and community research will remain unavailable to users we know are minors; an initial community-research launch is adults-only. Before any child/teen mode or child-directed connected feature, we must complete an age-appropriate risk review and implement the most protective settings and safeguards required by applicable law. A minor's local profile may not be used for advertising or paid-offer targeting.
These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. If you are a consumer, you always keep the mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live, and any right to bring disputes in your local courts.
